Saturday in Miami Ultra 2010

So Saturday for the festival Nick and I decided to dress up a little and have some fun! So Nick wore a gorgeous silver glitter gown that I gave him last fall. We got to the train station to head to South Beach and as we got on the train there was a man sitting to the right of the door and as we stepped over the threshold we hear "Oh no man...Oh no..." in a Very emphatic voice which caused the whole train to look at us (of which more than half were in bright fluorescent outfits and obviously also headed to Ultra) he gets up and shakes Nicks hand and says can I get a picture with you. As he stands up he goes to shake Nick's hand and says "Welcome to the country Mammi...I mean Pappi...I mean....and at this point we bust out and the whole train car joins in laughing! Was Absolutely Hilarious!!! You know that this man was probably on from the beginning and watched all of these crazy people get on and the final straw was a very fine man in a dress:)
We made it to the festival just in time to catch the last 40 minutes of Diplo's set was Phenomenal!! We immediately started dancing! Was Sunny and crazy hot...but the music was so good couldn't help but move!

Throughout the whole day the funniest thing happened Nick and I were constantly the center of attention in that people would surround us and start taking photos and watching us dance. We were in a space of feeding off each other and feeding off of the crowd. Was an ongoing thing all day long.

Forgive the triple chin that it looks like I had...I really don't have all of that going on:)

Friday in Miami at Ultra

Writing from Miami right now...has been a whirlwind last couple of days....got on an 6:15 flight Friday morning and arrived here at 9:30 and has been non-stop!
Nick

Nick picked me up from the airport and headed to the house to get a disco nap in...then got ready and headed to the Ultra music festival that is held here each year. It is comprised of the top electronic djs from around the world converging in a 2 day extravaganza of sick beats and dancing madness!!
Let me just state for the record that the fashion sense of the typical ultra patron was...shall we say disconcerting....lycra, fluorescent colors, and bad 80's fashion and stripper gear reigned supreme! And not in a good way! Thank goodness once we got into the festival there was more eye candy!

Led Hula Hooping

After waiting in the longest lines imaginable at the train station, at will call, in the line to get water...we finally made it in. At this point I'm a little apprehensive and wondering what I got myself into....then we got to the stages and the music started and washed that all away!!! Now this is what I came here for!! Fridays highlights consisted of Laidback Luke, Kaskade, Will-i-am, David Guetta, Teisto, Stanton Warriors and the Plump Dj's!!!! Mind-blowing music that you had to shake your groove thang to!!!

Here is a video from David Guetta's show...not the best quality sound but gives the massiveness of the event and this was just the main stage...there were a total of ten stages all playing great music!!!
